Putrajaya Lake Club

Our family has been accepted as member of Putrajaya Lake Club recently. Due to busy work schedule, Joon Ling and I had no time to bring our kids to the club. I presented paper at SEBUMI last week. Subsequently, I was asked to edit 10 chapters for a book “Action Research.” I have the obligation to serve the NGOs as well in which I spent the whole Saturday in Chung Ling Alumni and this Sunday morning representing SJK(C) Serdang Baru 2 to receive RM50,000 contribution from Selangor State Government.

Well, I have find time for my family and we have decided to have dinner at Putrajaya Lake Club tonight. We hope to have a good dinner there…

UPM Convocation

I was busy attending the Induction Course from 21 to 28 September and sat for the exam on 30 September. Immediately after that, I went to KL to attend the 47th AGM of IPRM and was expectedly elected as the Council Member.

I rushed to complete a paper on Organisation-Public Relationship and Marketability the following week. Finally, the big day fell on 9 October 2010. Joon Ling, Yun Yao, Yun Xun, and Zi Yi were inside the hall to witness the moment I received the scroll from UPM Chancellor who is also His Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor.

I appreciate the presence of my mother-in-law, Joon Ling’s second sister and her family. Not forgetting, my former students (graduated from UKM two years ago), i.e. Ciek Lek, Yoke Sim, Shwu Fen, and Hooi Tian, coming all the way just to congratulate me. Thanks to my old friend Dr Mariah too.

My family and my in-law’s family attended the 48th Annual Dinner of Chung Ling Alumni the same night. My four former students mentioned above and two journalist friends who helped me in collecting data for PhD, i.e. Khee Chien and Yoke Lim, were invited to the dinner as a sign of appreciation.

While writing this blog on 10 October 2010, it reminds me my beloved mother… she passed away on 10 October 2006. Four years ago at this time, I was sending her back from Hospital Serdang to Kepala Batas…
