Y.A.Bhg. Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu passed away last night (24 November 2010). I had an opportunity to talk to him when I was conducting my BA (Hons) research entitled “Kesan Pergantungan Saluran Komunikasi Dalam Pembentukan Imej Calon Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang” in Dewan Seri Pinang 20 years back.
The late Tun Dr. Lim spoke to me twice on 11 October 1990, "Young man, it is not a right time for you to do a research here..." and "We have experienced all these... I think Kit Siang will endorse you..." (recorded in my unpublished thesis, Lampiran IX, hlm. 6).
